Hoda Kotb Teases Future Project Involving Joanna Gaines
Hoda Kotb is moving into a new project that will involve Joanna Gaines, known for her work on HGTV. On February 5, Kotb shared new photos on Instagram, hinting at an exciting partnership with Gaines. She expressed her enthusiasm, writing, "Remember I was talking about repotting — gotta take first steps. We have something fun cooking! Come along on the great adventure…..Stay tuned! I love @joannagaines."
The photos show Kotb and Gaines exploring an empty office-style space, using a computer, and enjoying time with a filming crew. Their camaraderie suggests a promising collaboration ahead.
Focus on Wellness
After leaving the Today Show following a 17-year tenure, Kotb aims to dedicate more time to her daughters, Haley and Hope. Still, she clarified that retirement isn't in her plans. Kotb shared her interest in the wellness space on The Kelly Clarkson Show, stating, "I kind of got hooked in the wellness space, like a couple of years ago. I started doing stuff that seemed woo woo and weird, and then I was like, 'Wait, I feel calmer, I feel better.'"
Kotb intends to develop a wellness app, start a company, and incorporate retreats and podcasts into her new venture. She emphasized, "We can get together, do things that I love… but this is something that when you leave, you'll feel transformed."
Anticipation for Launch
Kotb anticipates launching her new business this spring. Alongside her, former HGTV star Joanna Gaines has built a strong brand with her husband, Chip. They achieved success through Fixer Upper and have created the Magnolia Network.
Additionally, both women have written bestselling books. Their prior interactions include interviews on the Today show and other podcast formats, indicating a friendly and professional connection.
Kotb's exit from the Today show occurred on January 10. She informed staff of her decision in September, expressing both sadness and confidence in her choice. "I know I’m making the right decision, but it’s a painful one. I love you, and it’s time for me to leave the show."
