Huawei’s Triple-Screen Folding Phone Leaked Again

Spy photos of Huawei’s rumored tri-foldable phone, held by consumer group CEO Yu Chengdong, have emerged once more. These images were shared by Weibo user @WhyLab on Thursday, as reported by Android Authority. The device appears remarkably slim, even thinner than single-hinged foldables like the Samsung Galaxy Fold 6 when held like a standard smartphone, though there's still a discernible camera bump. Device Features and Screen Details

The phone, when unfolded, is speculated to turn into a 10-inch tablet, surpassing the size of other eight-inch foldables. An earlier picture from last week revealed the unfolded device in an airplane setting, showing screen creases and a small front-facing camera on the top left side. Tri-fold OLED phones thus far have mostly been experimental and showcased by companies such as Xiaomi, TCL, and Samsung's Flex S at CES 2022.

Camera Design and Market Availability

In another set of spy photos, shared by WhyLab and reported via GSMArena, the phone is featured fully folded, presenting more like an everyday smartphone despite its two folds creating three segments. This gives a clear view of the prominent camera block on its rear side, bearing a round design similar to the Huawei Mate X5's. While more information isn't broadly leaked, these photos imply an imminent launch, possibly starting from September onwards.

Market Launch Speculations

Despite the expectation of more leaks, the repeated sightings suggest the device is close to launch. However, it's not anticipated to have a wide global release, notably absent from the US market where Huawei's presence is minimal.

The combined appearance and functionality imply that Huawei's innovative tri-foldable phone is nearing readiness for some markets but will likely remain exclusive to specific regions.
