Hugh Jackman Attends Sutton Foster’s "Once Upon a Mattress" Performance
Hugh Jackman showed his support for Sutton Foster during her performance of Once Upon a Mattress on Saturday, Jan. 4, at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles. The renowned actor, 56, was not alone; he was joined by iconic actress Carol Burnett, who originated the same role in the 1959 production.
Memorable Moments at the Show
Photos shared by DeuxMoi captured a joyful Jackman holding his phone toward the 91-year-old Burnett. They were enjoying the show, while other audience members turned their attention to the two stars. Burnett joyfully acknowledged the crowd with a kiss and a wave.
Jackman and Burnett attended the penultimate show of Foster's tour. An attendee recounted that the audience erupted in strong applause for Carol Burnett during intermission, showcasing the appreciation for her legendary career.
Their Theatrical Connection
Previously, Jackman and Foster co-starred in the Broadway production The Music Man, which ran from December 2021 to January 2023. In June 2024, Foster expressed her fondness for working with Jackman.
"Jackman is one of the greatest guys ever and an incredible costar," Foster remarked. She further noted how he taught her to be an exceptional leader during their time together on stage.
Personal Lives
On a personal note, Jackman has two children with his ex-wife, Deborra-lee Furness. They adopted a son, Oscar, 24, in 2000, and a daughter, Ava, 19, in 2005. After 27 years of marriage, they announced their separation in September 2023.
Meanwhile, Foster filed for divorce from her ex-husband Ted Griffin on Oct. 22, 2024, after nearly ten years of marriage. They share a daughter, Emily Dale, who is 7 years old.
