Hugh Jackman Working On Skipping Skills After Concert Routine
On January 26, Hugh Jackman highlighted his training on Instagram, demonstrating his skipping capabilities. Two days prior, Jackman, 56, showcased a jumping rope routine during his concert at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
"I worked for months with my trainer, Beth Lewis, to prepare for this jump rope choreography," Jackman stated in his caption. He praised Lewis, noting, "She has the patience of a saint!" Despite some mishaps, he admitted to enjoying the experience. Jackman concluded the post by expressing gratitude to Lewis and mentioning he would perform 21 more shows.
In the clip, Jackman wore a damp tank top and shorts, displaying skill as he jumped rope effortlessly in a gym setting. He fluidly switched the rope from one side to another, crossing his arms while maintaining the rhythm. He completed the sequence by raising the rope above his head and wrapping it around his arms.
Opening Night Highlights
Jackman's jumping routine took spectators by surprise during the concert series "From New York, With Love," which began on January 24. On January 25, he shared his enthusiastic thoughts on his social media.
"What an incredible night it was," he wrote about his experience at Radio City Music Hall. Jackman expressed the emotional impact of the evening, noting the audience's overwhelming positivity, and stated, "We all felt it." He celebrated the excitement of performing 23 more shows, thanking his talented cast and crew for their support.
"From New York, With Love" marks Jackman’s first concert in five years. The performance features songs from popular shows such as Les Misérables, The Greatest Showman, The Boy From Oz, and The Music Man. Notably, his friends and costars, Ryan Reynolds, Shawn Levy, and Sutton Foster, were present at the opening performance.
