Influencer Ricardo Godoi Dead at 45 After General Anesthesia Incident
Ricardo Godoi, a Brazilian influencer famed for his content on luxury cars, passed away on January 20 at the age of 45. His death occurred after he received general anesthesia for a full back tattoo, according to the tattoo studio's owner.
Godoi's life tragically ended when he experienced cardiac arrest during the sedation and intubation process. The studio owner, describing Godoi as a "great friend," informed the Daily Mail, "That occurred before they even started tattooing him." Despite immediate medical attention and a cardiologist's intervention, Godoi could not be revived.
He died at 12 p.m. local time, as stated in a tribute on his official Instagram page.
"Today we say goodbye to Ricardo Godoi," the post expressed in Portuguese translation. It acknowledged him as "an incredible person who left his mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him."
The post emphasized that Godoi, who was married at the time of his death, will be fondly remembered for his vibrant personality.
"His joy, generosity, and light will continue to present in our memories," it stated. "May he rest in peace. Our condolences to his family and friends."
The tattoo studio addressed safety measures in a separate statement to the Daily Mail.
"We hired a private hospital with qualified staff, necessary equipment, and anesthetic drugs for safety," their statement clarified. "A doctor specialized in anesthesiology and intubation, approved by the hospital, was also hired."
Following Godoi’s unexpected death, loved ones are in mourning.
"I spoke to him in the morning," friend Eduardo Razuk revealed. "It’s unbelievable; none of us expected that. He’s in my prayers. Godoi was certainly an enlightened person."
