Jake Gyllenhaal Gets Support from Girlfriend Jeanne Cadieu at Record-Shattering Othello Opening

Jake Gyllenhaal and Jeanne Cadieu were seen together supporting the Broadway opening of "Othello." The highly anticipated revival, featuring Gyllenhaal and Denzel Washington, premiered at the Barrymore Theatre in New York City on March 23, 2025. Celebrities including Samuel L. Jackson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Spike Lee, and even Joe Biden attended to show their support. Gyllenhaal portrays the villainous Iago, while Washington stars as Othello. Alongside him were his sister, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and his girlfriend, Cadieu, PEOPLE reported.
Gyllenhaal, 44, looked sharp offstage, wearing a stylish double-breasted suit and a partially unbuttoned white undershirt, complemented by Cadieu. The French model, dressed in an elegant black gown, showcased a unique and abstract silhouette. Her hair was styled nicely into a slicked-back updo, presenting a graceful appearance.

The opening night not only brought stars together but marked a significant moment in Broadway history. The play grossed an astonishing $2.8 million within its first week, setting a new record.
Although Jake and Cadieu maintain a private relationship, they have shared affectionate moments in public. Recently, they stepped out for a date night at the Golden Globes 2025. The couple previously wore color-coordinated outfits, exemplifying their harmony. Gyllenhaal donned a classic black suit, while Cadieu chose a sleeveless black blazer dress with a white lapel.
Jake and Jeanne were first linked romantically in late 2018. They were spotted enjoying outings in both New York City and Paris. Their first public red carpet appearance came in September 2021 at the premiere of "The Lost Daughter," directed by Gyllenhaal's sister.
Since then, they have attended numerous events together, such as the Paris premiere of "Ambulance," a Cannes Film Festival screening, and a special showing of Gyllenhaal's "Road House" remake in 2024.

Though the couple keeps their personal life largely private, Gyllenhaal hinted at potential wedding plans. In a 2024 interview, he was asked about marriage and responded playfully, stating, "I’m supposed to tell The Hollywood Reporter that?" He has mentioned a shift in priorities, realizing that family matters most at this stage of his life.
