Jenna Bush Hager’s Husband Henry Hager Admits She Gives Him the ‘Ick’ During Their Lie Detector Test

Henry Hager and Jenna Bush Hager participated in a lie detector test on "Today with Jenna & Friends." The couple, married since 2008, showcased their playful chemistry during the test, which aired on the March 28 episode, PEOPLE reported.
The segment began with Jenna sharing a story that made Henry blush, prompting the lie detector round. Jenna had set boundaries for acceptable questions, saying that she wanted to avoid topics that could harm their relationship. However, the test led to some awkward moments.
When Jenna asked, "Henry, have I ever given you the ick?" she referenced a commonly used phrase that indicates finding something distasteful. Henry quickly affirmed that his wife had indeed given him the "ick" and went on to elaborate.

"Sometimes in the morning, you know, you might want to brush your teeth," he teasingly responded. Jenna found his honesty amusingly rude.
Tension heightened further when Henry inquired if Jenna felt nervous about him co-hosting. She admitted she had some anxiety. "That’s so mean. I’m a natural!" he joked. Jenna replied, "That’s just ‘cause I love you and want to protect you!"
During the test, Henry made another candid admission, stating he kept items from an ex-girlfriend. "Yes. I’m a Boy Scout, I tell the truth," he said. Jenna couldn’t resist pressing for details. "But what do you have from your ex-girlfriend?" she queried.
Henry hesitated, saying, "Uh, pictures maybe? I dunno. I don’t know. Letters? Something somewhere. I don’t know where they are."
Interestingly, Jenna did not mention that she has previously said Henry gave her "the ick." In December 2024, she noted during a conversation with co-host Hoda Kotb that after nearly 20 years together, individuals experience "icks" but have many more positive feelings in a relationship.
When guest Justine Lupe asked her about specific instances, Hoda interrupted. "No, no, don’t! Cause you know what happens — it gets in Page Six, and she gets in trouble," she said while jokingly trying to protect Jenna.

Despite the lighthearted banter and testing moments, Jenna and Henry affirmed that their marriage remains strong. They wed in Crawford, Texas, and have three children: daughters Mila, 11, Poppy, 9, and son Hal, 5.
Henry co-hosted with Jenna during the "Family Week" segments on Thursday and Friday.
