Jennie Garth Finds Support in Ex-Husband Peter Facinelli Amid Los Angeles Wildfires

Jennie Garth relies on her ex-husband, Peter Facinelli, during this challenging time.

On Thursday, January 9, Garth, 52, turned to Instagram to inform her followers that she and her family took shelter with Facinelli, 51. They evacuated their Los Angeles residence due to the ongoing wildfires. In a heartfelt video shared with her 1.3 million followers, she expressed, "This is just devastating for everyone. I’m so sad. Deep sadness today. My family and I are safe. Our home made it through the night and we are feeling so blessed and so fortunate and so lucky. Just praying for everybody else. We’re so, so lucky more people weren’t hurt or trapped in the fires."

The alum of "Beverly Hills, 90210" also mentioned her husband, Dave Abrams, as they planned to return to their house. She expressed appreciation to Facinelli for their shelter, saying, "Think we’re going to go back to our house. It’s a mess but it’s fine. It’s still there." She added, "I’m so grateful for Peter for letting us stay at his house—me and all the girls, and the dogs, and Dave."

Garth and Facinelli initially crossed paths in 1995 and were married from 2001 until 2013. They share three adult daughters: Luca, 27, Lola, 22, and Fiona, 18. Garth married actor Dave Abrams in 2015. Facinelli is now engaged to actress Lily Anne Harrison, with whom he has a 2-year-old son, Jack.

In the caption of her Instagram post, Garth reaffirmed her gratitude toward her ex, stating, "I wanted to let you know that we are safe. Peter and his family took us in and have been so kind. I am deeply saddened for our city and just feel numb." She continued, "Our home was spared, but so much to clean up, and we're ready to get active to help our neighbors and friends and fellow Angelinos." She noted that her husband had been busy transporting their belongings, saying, "He’s loading and unloading all our bags and boxes."

Finally, Garth expressed, "I am grateful we are all OK and have a home to return to."

Wildfires erupted in Los Angeles on Tuesday, January 7, and ravaged key areas through Thursday, affecting Pacific Palisades, Malibu, Santa Monica, and the Hollywood Hills. Numerous celebrities, including Paris Hilton, Billy Crystal, and Miles Teller, have lost their homes due to the fires.
