Jennifer Love Hewitt Embraces 11-Year Marriage to Brian Hallisay: "That's Like 190 Years in Hollywood"
Jennifer Love Hewitt recently marked a significant milestone in her life. On November 21, the 45-year-old actress and her husband, Brian Hallisay, 46, celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary.
In an interview with PEOPLE, Hewitt humorously remarked, "That’s like 190 years in Hollywood." She expressed pride in their family, saying, "I'm proud of the family we've made together. I'm proud of us."
Hewitt and Hallisay initially crossed paths on the set of "Love Bites" in 2011. However, it wasn’t until reuniting while filming the Lifetime series "The Client List" in 2012 that they began dating.
Recalling their first encounter, Hewitt stated, "I thought he was the most beautiful man I had ever seen." She even told her manager, "I'm going to marry that man, and I'm going to have his children." Hewitt’s determination was clear.
Although it was love at first sight for her, she noted a "slow burn" for Hallisay. Hewitt mentioned, "It wasn't just what he looked like. He was kind, good with family, and smart." Their shared fun experience captured her heart, leading them to marriage and parenthood.
The couple exchanged vows in their backyard in Los Angeles five days before their daughter Autumn was born in 2013. During a move in 2020, they had another intimate backyard wedding, now including their children as witnesses.
"It was very sweet," said Hewitt. "It was during the height of COVID, so we were just grasping for magic. It really did become a magical time for us." Their children regularly talk about it, which Hewitt cherishes.
In 2021, the couple welcomed their youngest son, Aidan, who is now 3. Hewitt shared that, like many parents, they juggle work and family life. Yet, she reassured, "I wake up and choose Brian every day. I genuinely feel that way, even when he makes me crazy."
Jennifer Love Hewitt and Brian Hallisay recently starred in "The Holiday Junkie," a Lifetime Christmas movie premiering on December 14. The project reflects Hewitt’s affection for the holidays and her journey through grief after losing her mother, Pat, in 2012.
"It was really fun to be in a movie honoring my mom with Brian," Hewitt shared. Despite only meeting her once, he plays a crucial role in commemorating her memory.
Additionally, she is excited about her new book, "Inheriting Magic: My Journey Through Grief, Joy, Celebration, and Making Every Day Magical." She expressed feelings of closeness to her late mother through this project.
"I'm really grateful for that, and it's really put the grief in a new place," Hewitt concluded, emphasizing the healing aspect of her recent work.
