Joey Fatone Returns to Broadway in & Juliet
Joey Fatone of *NSYNC is all set for a Broadway comeback, marking the occasion with a special nine-week stint in the musical & Juliet. This role, beginning January 21, 2025, will see Fatone replace Paulo Szot to perform as Lance until March 16. The Tony-nominated show features an iconic score by Max Martin, renowned for producing hit songs for artists like Britney Spears and Katy Perry, as well as crafting *NSYNC's catchy tunes. Interestingly, although he starred in one of *NSYNC's biggest competitors, Fatone will notably perform Backstreet Boys classics like "Everybody" and "Shape of My Heart"—a nod to the shared evolution of pop music legends.
"This is exciting for me," Fatone said, addressing the surprise factor in his casting, "I’m thrilled to dive into Martin’s melodic playground, embracing the storyline’s twists and turns. Yes, I’ll be dabbling in Backstreet territory, but allegiance lies with *NSYNC! See you on the theatrical sheets!" Fatone observes how communities like that of *NSYNC and Backstreet Boys have grown richer by the synergy and past on-road tours, notably alongside AJ McLean.
& Juliet, fancifully penned by Christian & *NSYNC’s musical alum, David West Read, whimsically imagines a happier, alternate fate for its main character—no teenage tragedy but a life-steeling combination of periods and fairy-tale futures given autonomy. Rolling off its high-octane Broadway launch on October 27, fabulous performances await with a robust cast starring Maya Bod, plus luminaries like moderator Laurel, luminary Playstation Drew, and Tavity of battlefield scene turning technique representatives all electronically glued.
Fortified by past accolades humored as 'Muscles Mark' in Milstead/Rent twirl with eclectic sedum horror styling alongside perennial Lumchor pen fairies, Fatone struts into the bright future with performances coloring hearts aplenty. With innate love nurtured from opening wings apart post – *NSYNC kudos for choreography dwelling rides—even rhyming in Hollywood long dance battles—he carries celebrated recollections straight to substantial new lounging hunts worldwide.
