Joey King Expresses Joy Watching Sabrina Carpenter Perform: "Sweetest Pop Star I've Ever Seen"
Joey King got deeply emotional while watching her best friend, Sabrina Carpenter, perform. The actress shared her feelings on Instagram after attending Carpenter's recent concert on October 14 in Chicago, writes People.
"I got to see my wife perform in Chi Town last night and I cried of course," King expressed. She added, "She’s just the shortest and sweetest pop star I’ve ever seen. 😪 I might let her make me Juno." This reference highlights Carpenter's album title, Short n' Sweet, along with her song "Juno."
In her post, King featured several clips: one of herself dancing as Carpenter sang "Please Please Please," another capturing the singer during "Good Graces," and backstage photos with her four nieces and Carpenter. Dressed in a vibrant pink outfit, she complemented her look with a mini skirt, baseball cap, and a shirt emblazoned with "camaraderie," nodding to Carpenter's song "Bed Chem."
When a fan commented, "Girl why are you just in the crowd 😭😭," King quipped back, "Wanted to mosh babe." She also expressed tremendous affection for Carpenter through a photo of them hugging on her Instagram Stories, proclaiming, "I love you my brina. Perfect girl. Perfect show. Feel so lucky to watch you shine."
Reflecting on their friendship, King recalled enjoying a previous performance of Carpenter's at the Governors Ball music festival. She noted how it had been years since she could see her perform due to busy schedules. "I'm so happy for her," King shared excitedly. She playfully lamented, "I can't stop singing 'Please Please Please.' Get out of my head."
In September, King mentioned that many of Carpenter's songs from Short n' Sweet are her favorites. "This changes literally every day," she remarked, emphasizing the challenge of choosing just one.
