Jordan Fisher Joins Moulin Rouge! on Broadway for a Limited Run

The talented Jordan Fisher will appear in "Moulin Rouge! The Musical" for a limited time, PEOPLE reported. His performances will start on Tuesday, April 15, and conclude on Sunday, July 20. The location is Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theatre in New York City. Fisher is celebrated for his roles in "Teen Beach 2," "To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You," and "Work It."

In "Moulin Rouge! The Musical," a vibrant stage adaptation of Baz Luhrmann's 2001 film, Fisher will portray the character Christian. The role, originally brought to life by Ewan McGregor, was created on Broadway by Aaron Tveit, who famously won a Tony Award for it. Many actors, including Tony nominee Derek Klena and Casey Cott from "Riverdale," have played the part. Current performer John Cardoza will complete his run as Christian on Sunday, April 13.

On stage, Christian pursues Satine, portrayed by a variety of talented actresses. The impressive list includes JoJo, Courtney Reed, Hailee Kaleem Wright, and Tony winner Karen Olivo, who first originated the role. Nicole Kidman played Satine in the film adaptation. Solea Pfeiffer is the current Satine and will continue in this role as Fisher joins the cast, reuniting the pair who starred together as Orpheus and Eurydice in "Hadestown."
Additionally, Grammy Award-winner Boy George will return to the role of Harold Zidler, starting on Friday, March 28. Fisher's presence on Broadway has become noteworthy over the past few years. He made his Broadway debut in "Hamilton" in 2016, and has since starred in "Dear Evan Hansen" (2020), "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street" (2023), and "Hadestown." He also made a guest performance in "Freestyle Love Supreme" in 2021.

Fisher shares a two-year-old son, Riley, with his wife, Ellie Woods. Most recently, he played Bobby in the New York City Center Encores! production of "Urinetown." His prior significant roles include Mark in "Rent Live!" and a successful stint in Fox’s "Grease Live!" (2016). Fans can also recognize Fisher’s voice from the Disney/Pixar animated film "Turning Red" (2022), where he voices a member of 4*Town.
Tickets for "Moulin Rouge! The Musical" are currently available. The show is also part of a national tour across North America, and it has performances in international locations such as London’s West End, Germany, Japan, and The Netherlands.
