Julia Fox Wants to Join ‘The Real Housewives of New York City’ to Bring Change
Julia Fox believes "The Real Housewives of New York City" needs revitalization, and she is ready to help. The 34-year-old model and actress expressed her interest in joining the iconic Bravo series during an appearance on the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen After Show on January 22.
When Andy Cohen, the host and an executive producer of the franchise, asked about her potential involvement, Fox stated, "You know what, I would do a season and see how it goes. I just need to shake it up a little bit."
The conversation sparked when Fox suggested that Anna Delvey, a convicted felon, should be cast on the NYC edition of the show. She praised Delvey, describing her as an "icon" with a "very dry sense of humor." Inspired by the idea, Fox exclaimed, "Put her on RHONY! Put me on RHONY!"
Bronwyn Newport, a guest on the show and a star of "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City," responded enthusiastically to the proposal. "Chaos! Put both of them, please!" she urged.
Currently, RHONY features Jenna Lyons, Ubah Hassan, Brynn Whitfield, Jessel Taank, Sai De Silva, Erin Lichy, and Racquel Chevremont. The drama escalated during the season 15 finale, where Brynn and Ubah experienced a heated argument that nearly divided the cast. Brynn claimed she had told Ubah, in confidence, about her past sexual assault. Ubah denied any previous knowledge of this information, leading many co-stars to support Ubah and question Brynn's honesty.
Commenting on the episode, Fox shared, "Brynn, I love her, but she kind of lost me this season a little bit. She’s really kind of demonic a little bit." Cohen agreed, stating the finale was "very dark."
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Brynn defended her stance regarding the conversation with Ubah. She remarked, "It’s not right to assume that everyone remembers everything that you say all the time and then hold them accountable for that." She acknowledged the difficulty of communication, stating, "I know what I said and I know that I did say it."
