Kacey Musgraves Responds to Overzealous Fan During Concert

Kacey Musgraves did not hold back from expressing her feelings about a disruptive fan during her concert in Florida on Saturday, November 30. The performance took place at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, where she recounted an incident from the previous night where a fan grabbed her mid-performance.

"Last night, this Tampa bitch," Musgraves told the audience while they reacted with boos, as seen in a video on TikTok. "Y’all. I know. She kind of ruined it. She kind of ruined it for everybody."

The Grammy winner humorously added, "I thought I was going to have to get real East Texas on her. Take off my earrings… well, Florida goes hard." She made a lighthearted comparison, saying it felt like typing her name in the "Florida man" search and getting a "Tampa girl" result.

Musgraves referred to the surprising incident that occurred at the Amalie Arena in Tampa the night before a show while she interacted with fans. As she walked through the crowd singing, a woman reached out and forcefully grabbed her, causing her to turn unexpectedly.

"What the f—?" Musgraves exclaimed as she pulled the microphone away, a moment captured in a TikTok clip. Visibly unsettled, the "Rainbow" singer shook her head and continued with her performance, even though the incident appeared to affect her.

On social media, some attendees reported that the fan had been "kicked out" of the venue after this altercation.

Musgraves is not the only artist to face fan disruptions at concerts. Justin Timberlake recently swatted away a fan trying to touch his jacket during a show in Florida. Similarly, Zach Bryan paused two concerts after objects were thrown at him by the crowd.

Despite such challenges, Musgraves is enjoying her current tour after receiving four Grammy nominations for her 2024 album Deeper Well. She plans to perform in North Carolina and Tennessee before returning to Arizona post-holidays.

In a September interview with Seth Meyers, she described her tour as "stunning," mentioning a distinctive mix of sci-fi and nature. She expressed pride in creating an intimate atmosphere within a large arena.

Variety's review highlighted the positive vibe of her concert, saying: "For the hour-and-a-half length of her set, the singer made you feel part of a nation believing in peace, love, and understanding."
