Kanye West Releases Song Featuring North West and Diddy, Ignoring Kim Kardashian's Wishes

Kanye West seems to defy his ex-wife Kim Kardashian's wishes with a new song. It includes vocals from their daughter, North West, and Sean "Diddy" Combs, who is facing a sex trafficking trial.
A new conflict appears to be arising between Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. The controversial rap producer dropped a track featuring Diddy, titled "Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine," on March 15. This release was removed a day later from social media platform X. In addition to North West, aged 11, Kanye also appears on the record.
Kanye claims that Kim sought to prevent the song's release. In another since-deleted post, he reportedly shared text messages indicating that Kim had "sent paperwork over" to protect herself by opting out of the Diddy song. Kim also mentioned having trademarked North's name at her birth.
"I asked you if I could trademark her name," one alleged text from Kim reads. "You said yes. When she’s 18, it goes to her. So stop."
In response, Kanye reportedly told Kim, "Amend it or I'm going to war. And neither of us will recover from the public fallout. You're going to have to kill me."
According to multiple sources, TMZ reported that Kim issued cease and desist letters to Kanye regarding the song. An emergency hearing involving a mediator and judge took place, although Kanye chose not to attend. He reportedly promised not to release the track after this consultation.
Shortly after this song's release, Kanye insisted he wants to be more involved in the lives of their children: North, Saint West, 9, Chicago West, 7, and Psalm West, 5. He expressed this need on X, stating, "I don't want to just 'see' my kids. I need to raise them."
Kanye, who has been producing North's debut album, frequently uses social media to express his frustrations about parenting arrangements with Kim. In recent months, he has also drawn attention for controversial statements supporting figures like Adolf Hitler.
In February, he showed support for Diddy, who faces various charges including sex trafficking, and has pleaded not guilty. He wrote on X, "FREE PUFF," referring to one of Diddy’s former stage names, and later added, "PUFF WE LOVE YOU."
