Kate Hudson’s 6-Year-Old Daughter Helped Style Her 2025 Golden Globes Look
Kate Hudson was not alone during her preparations for the 2025 Golden Globes. Her 6-year-old daughter, Rani, assisted her with styling. The young girl had her mother’s back as Hudson prepared for this glamorous event at the Beverly Hills Hilton in Los Angeles on January 5. Hudson's beautiful midnight blue Carolina Herrera gown quickly became a favorite on the red carpet, US Weekly reported.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Hudson, 45, shared that Rani was busy "picking apart everything" during the excitement of getting ready. This attention came while Hudson's older sons showed no interest in the event preparations. "We’re calling it Power Princess," Hudson noted about her stunning strapless dress, adorned with flowers and sequins. She added, "That’s what my friends said! I was like, ‘Alright, I’ll lean in.’ My son Ryder is turning 21 in two days, so I don’t know where he is. Bingham is locked in his bedroom at 13, so really it’s Rani who’s all over it!"
Hudson shares Rani with her fiancé, Danny Fujikawa. She is also a mother to Ryder and Bingham from previous relationships with Chris Robinson and Matt Bellamy, respectively. Rani ensured her mom wore just the right accessories for the occasion. Specifically, she helped Hudson select a striking sapphire and diamond necklace from Bulgari. This piece has drawn comparisons to Kate Winslet's "Heart of the ocean" necklace in Titanic. Coincidentally, Winslet, now 49, was present on the red carpet to admire Hudson’s choice of jewelry.
"Isn’t it gorgeous?" Hudson exclaimed about the necklace. She felt it was "ridiculous" when she first saw it and instantly believed it would be perfect for the event.
Hudson's role at the ceremony involved presenting the award for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy TV Series alongside Mindy Kaling. The impressive award went to Jean Smart for her work in Hacks. Additionally, Hudson enjoyed reconnecting with her How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days co-star Kathryn Hahn during the event.
Amidst the festivities, Hudson mentioned that she would not be drinking alcohol that night as part of her commitment to Dry January.
The actress also spoke about her recent musical accomplishments. Hudson expressed her happiness about her engagement with singing. "It’s been a great surprise for me this year. I didn’t realize how fulfilling it would be," she shared. Embracing this new creative direction, she felt warmly received by fans. "I love to sing, so I’m just gonna keep doing it!" Her debut studio album, "Glorious," released in 2024, has marked a significant moment in her artistic journey.
