Kathy Hilton Shares Creative Holiday Ideas for Grandkids (Exclusive)
Kathy Hilton has fun strategies for entertaining her grandchildren during the holidays. In an interview with PEOPLE, she discussed her collaboration with DIRECTV, highlighting Christmas at Kathy's. Kathy, at 65 years old, emphasizes cool activities for her grandkids.
As a grandparent, Kathy enjoys a relaxed atmosphere. "Hopefully, they don’t run around and break things," she joked about her eight grandkids. She loves assigning small projects for them. "We’ll be making cookies, and they’ll decorate donuts," she added. Dunkin' Donuts is contributing with glaze and sprinkles for the kids. They will dip donut holes and paint them, which makes for a fun culinary experience.
Kathy also organizes art activities for when the family relaxes together. She lays out large plastic sheets and sets up easels for painting. "They enjoy painting and adding rhinestones and glitter," she mentioned. Paris participates as well, mentoring her younger kids. Paris, Kathy, and Nikki dive into these creative moments with the older girls as their younger siblings watch.
Kathy takes pride in her grandchildren from her daughters, Paris and Nicky, and her son Barron. Paris has London, 12 months, and Phoenix, 22 months. Nicky's daughters are Lily-Grace, 8, Theodora "Teddy," 6, and her son, Chasen, 2. Barron has three children, Milou, 4, Caspian, 2, and Apollo, 8 months.
In June, Kathy expressed her joy in being a grandmother, stating that time spent with her family is cherished. "I feel so fulfilled," she said about having eight grandkids. "Can you imagine? I say right now is the happiest time of my life."
Kathy loves having everyone under one roof, especially during family gatherings. She finds joy in organizing sleepovers with Hilton Rothschild’s daughters when they visit Los Angeles.
"They come here for a sleepover, and we make them little beds with blankies," Kathy recalled. "They enjoy a slumber party on the floor while Papa and I join. That gives Nicky and James a chance to sleep in a little."
She humorously added, "We’re going to need more space, I tell you! Especially for family trips."
