Katie Holmes Clarifies Suri's Financial Situation

Katie Holmes has addressed a recent report claiming her daughter, Suri Cruise, has become a "millionaire."

Following a December 5 media article, which mentioned Suri had allegedly gained substantial wealth from a trust fund linked to her father, Holmes felt the need to correct misconceptions quickly. Days later, on December 8, she shared a screenshot of the article on Instagram, stating, "Completely false," and added in the caption, "Enough."

Since her divorce from Tom Cruise in 2012, Holmes has kept Suri mostly out of the public eye. However, in recent times, she has shared more stories about her now 18-year-old daughter.

Holmes emphasized her desire to protect Suri's privacy. "What’s important for me is really to protect her," she told Glamour in 2023. "I'm very grateful to be her parent. She's an incredible person."

This summer, Holmes made a poignant statement as Suri prepared for college. In an August interview with Town & Country, she expressed pride in her daughter's achievements, saying, "I’m proud of my daughter. Of course, I will miss the close proximity, but I’m really proud of her."

Suri is Tom's youngest child, joining his two other children from his marriage with Nicole Kidman: Bella Kidman Cruise, 31, and Connor Cruise, 29.
