Katie Thurston Marries Comedian Jeff Arcuri Amid Breast Cancer Battle

Katie Thurston, known for her role on The Bachelorette, married comedian Jeff Arcuri in a private ceremony. This union occurs as she prepares to begin treatment for breast cancer.
In the midst of this challenging time, Katie announced her marriage to Jeff on March 23 via social media. The announcement came just six months after their engagement and a month after Katie revealed her breast cancer diagnosis.
The intimate wedding took place on March 22 in their backyard, attended by their newly adopted puppy, Charlie, and their parents, according to Us Weekly. They later celebrated with dinner at a New York City restaurant.
Katie wore a cream SER.O.YA maxi dress while Jeff opted for a khaki suit without a tie. Reports indicated that the couple wed just five days before Katie’s cancer treatment was set to begin. She will participate in the I-Spy breast cancer trial, which includes multiple chemotherapy sessions, followed by surgery.
Katie and Jeff have plans for a larger wedding featuring personalized vows once she overcomes her battle with cancer. She expressed, "It was this kind gesture of him saying, truly, in sickness and in health." She appreciates Jeff’s steadfast support, stating, "He shows up every day and continues to surprise."

Throughout Katie's medical journey, Jeff has supported her. Katie has also begun IVF treatments aimed at creating embryos with Jeff. This preparation is to allow them to conceive post-treatment.
One hour after their marriage announcement, Katie shared a video. In the clip, she sat in a hospital room with an IV in her arm, while Jeff sat beside her, with drinks on the table. She cheerfully proclaimed, "So Jeff and I are celebrating our honeymoon with some drinks. Cheers, baby! To husband and wife!"
