Kendra Wilkinson Defends Weight Gain, Change in Appearance: Not a ‘Playboy Girl’ Anymore
Kendra Wilkinson embraces her transformation, asserting that she is no longer the "Playboy girl." The reality TV star and former girlfriend of Hugh Hefner shared her journey on Instagram, addressing criticism of her weight gain. In her post on January 12, she affirmed, "Yes, I’ve gained weight. Yes, I’m aging. Yes, I’m not that girl I was before… but for once in a long time I feel good and mentally healthy," alongside a mirror selfie.
As a mother of two, Wilkinson cherishes her children. She shares son Hank IV, 15, and daughter Alijah, 10, with ex-husband Hank Baskett. She noted her focus, saying, "Kids are my everything. Feeling pretty balanced. Working out and cooking a lot more. Golf, work. No housekeeper or nanny." Although she admitted to vigilantly monitoring alcohol intake, she maintains a positive outlook on her life and appearance.
For those criticizing her appearance and drinking habits, she expressed, "I’m happy, healthy and at peace in life... Leave me alone and respect that I’m where I actually want to be." She also anticipated her 40th birthday on June 12, humorously addressing future activities: "Drinking too much is definitely drinking too much but you know what’s coming up in JUNE… Shots. 😂."
In November, during an exclusive chat with Us Weekly, Wilkinson raved about her children. Her pride radiated as she stated, "My kids are effing amazing. They’re just the most amazing human beings." She feels honored to raise "good and nice" children who aspire to positively impact the world, stating, "They give me so much purpose."
Describing parenting as "a full-time job," she highlighted her children’s passion for basketball. She proudly noted her son Hank's talent, saying, "He’s on his way to the NBA, like big time." Despite their divorce in 2018, Wilkinson emphasized the strong co-parenting relationship she has with Baskett, affirming, "Honestly, I couldn’t have a better coparent. I couldn’t ask God for a better person in my life."
