Khloé Kardashian Develops Staph Infection While Supporting Lamar Odom

Khloé Kardashian, 40, revealed that she developed a staph infection after supporting Lamar Odom, 45, during his hospitalization. This health issue surfaced as they discussed his near-fatal overdose on February 13's episode of "The Kardashians."
In the episode, Khloé confronted Lamar about his overdose at a Nevada brothel and his four-month recovery journey. "It is his fault he couldn’t speak because he decided to do naughty things somewhere he shouldn’t have done them," she said. She urged Lamar to be honest about that day. Lamar countered, claiming he didn’t intentionally cause his overdose. Khloé noted, "What Lamar is trying to say is he didn't take drugs consciously but indicates someone else might have drugged him."

Khloé and Lamar began dating in 2009, got engaged after a month, and married later that same year. Four years later, Khloé filed for divorce. However, she postponed this after Lamar fell into a coma due to a drug overdose.
"I was there through it all," Khloé reflected. "I was present when your father said, ‘Pull the plug’ to access your insurance. I witnessed your six heart attacks and 12 strokes, and Kobe [Bryant] walked in during your lung surgery."
During their hospital journey, Khloé stressed the toll this experience took on her health. "We transferred you from Vegas to Cedars. I didn't leave you for four months and ended up with a staph infection," she shared.

In 2015, she detailed her staph infection on social media, indicating stress exacerbated her condition. She tweeted, "[It] is no joke... I’m under great medical care and receiving tons of love!"
Khloé later conveyed her struggles during an interview, describing a significant hospital stay. "I had such anxiety going to the gym, but once I left, and Kendall [Jenner] and I worked out, I felt like, ‘Oh my god, I’m OK. I’m a human again!'"
After serving as Lamar's caretaker during his recovery, Khloé reapplied for divorce in May 2016, finalizing it later that year. She expressed deep feelings for Lamar: "I loved him with all my heart and soul. I took my vows very seriously and was married for about seven years."
Lamar apologized to Khloé, reflecting on their past. "I put you through a lot. I f—– up with you. I love you for trying your hardest with me," he said.
