Khloé Kardashian Jokes About Her Kids and Their Cousins as 'Only Friends'

Khloé Kardashian's children have a unique bond with their cousins, forming built-in friendships. The Good American co-founder, who has a daughter named True, 6, and a son named Tatum, 2, shared insights with PEOPLE about their close relationships. Although her kids are getting along well with their cousins, Khloé has mixed feelings about their future friendships.
"They're like each other's only friends, which I think is great," Khloé explains. "But I’m uncertain about how they'll feel during their teenage years."
Khloé is keenly aware of how rapidly her children are maturing. With several birthdays approaching, timing becomes especially poignant. "True will be 7 in April. We just celebrated Stormi's 7th birthday last weekend," Khloé notes. Alongside this, Tatum is just 2½. "It's surreal how quickly time passes."
Among the Kardashian cousins, True has a particularly close bond with Kim Kardashian's daughter Chicago, 7, Rob Kardashian's daughter Dream, 8, and Kylie Jenner's daughter Stormi. Social media frequently highlights their adventures together.
As her children grow, Khloé contemplates her parenting approach, especially regarding future relationships. During a recent episode of her podcast, "Khloé in Wonder Land," she spoke with family law attorney Laura Wasser about the dating landscape for her kids.
"My parents were easygoing. I admire that, but I doubt I can be like them," Khloé confides. "I often think, 'What would Kris Jenner do?'"
"I believe you’ll mirror your mom’s approach," Wasser replied. Khloé interjected, "I pray so."
Wasser pointed out that it's natural to adopt traits from one's mother, especially if you share a strong bond. While she acknowledged that Khloé may take a slightly more "protective" role, she remains confident Khloé will embody many aspects of Kris's parenting style.
"I hope so. I ask myself, 'How did she allow for that independence?' True is 6½ now," Khloé stated.
"She hasn’t fully let go," Wasser commented, referring to Kris. "We've shared some insightful discussions over the past few years."
Khloé added, "I appreciate those moments of holding on. But when your child is 15, and a relationship seems doomed, I’ll be the one saying, ‘Get the f--- away from this guy,’ while my mom might suggest, ‘It’s okay.’"
