Khloé Kardashian on Exes and Infidelity: "I Know That Was About Them"

Khloé Kardashian is determined not to internalize the infidelity of her former partners. The 40-year-old reality star has faced rumored cheating in both her marriage to Lamar Odom and her relationship with Tristan Thompson. Despite these challenges, the mother of two maintains a positive outlook on her self-worth, PEOPLE reported.
Kardashian shared her perspective in an episode of her "Khloé in Wonderland" podcast. "I know what was done to me was not about me," she stated. "I know that was about them, and they have past trauma that they've never healed from."
The founder of Good American remarked on her exes' explanations of their behavior, revealing that they often trace their issues back to their family history. "When I asked why they cheated, I often heard, ‘Oh, my parents or I came from a broken house.’ It’s rarely about the present relationship."

As a mother to six-year-old True and two-year-old Tatum, Kardashian credits her support system for helping her navigate the emotional turmoil of her past relationships. "If it wasn't for my family, my core circle, and my relationship with God… I learned it wasn’t about me," she emphasized.
She expressed that viewing the situation differently helped her heal. Instead of taking the cheating personally, she recognized it stemmed from her exes' issues. "I was used for that person to learn life lessons," Kardashian remarked, noting her approach of treating wrongdoers with compassion.
"I was never manipulative or trying to do the same thing back," she clarified. Her focus remains on emotional growth and strength despite the setbacks.

Kardashian and Odom married after just one month in 2009. Their marriage faced ongoing rumors of infidelity, leading Kardashian to file for divorce in 2013. She began dating Thompson in 2016, and they welcomed True the following year. Sadly, their relationship also revolved around infidelity, culminating in multiple separations. In late 2021, they parted ways for good when Thompson fathered a child while still in a relationship with Kardashian.
Kardashian acknowledges the "baggage" from her past but is determined to maintain hope in love, labeling herself a "hopeless romantic." While she embraces the idea of a fairytale romance, her current focus is her children.
"I'm not dating because my relationship with my kids just is everything to me," Kardashian revealed. "I feel so fulfilled. I’ve taken about three years off dating, allowing me to know myself on a deeper level." She maintains hope for her next relationship to lead to her "forever partner."
