Khloé Kardashian Uses Salmon Sperm Skincare Treatment Like Kim and Jennifer Aniston

Khloé Kardashian, 40, recently revealed that she uses salmon sperm for skincare in a March 20 episode of The Kardashians. This treatment is believed to have anti-aging benefits. In her discussion with her glam team during a photoshoot for her new fragrance, she confirmed her affinity for the unique ingredient.
While sharing this skincare approach, Khloé humorously remarked that she won't consider using other marine animal products. "I’m never gonna do whale sperm," she joked when the topic of sea creature DNA arose.

Kim Kardashian, 44, has also discussed using salmon sperm in her beauty regimen. Last year, during an episode of The Kardashians, she opened up about trying salmon sperm facials, a trend popularized by Jennifer Aniston, 56. Kim explained, "I got a salmon sperm facial with salmon sperm injected into my face," while sharing her experience with their mom, Kris Jenner.
Although Kim didn't comment on the facial's efficacy, Aniston shared insights with WSJ. Magazine in August 2023. She recalled asking her aesthetician about the process, saying, "First of all, I said, ‘Are you serious? How do you get salmon’s sperm?’" Aniston noted having seen minimal results but called the treatment "the future" of anti-aging skincare.

The process involves microneedling the face with salmon sperm, sometimes injected with hyaluronic acid, as described by Dr. Gabriel Chiu in a September 2024 Variety interview. This treatment utilizes the reproductive cells of the fish, which dermatologists claim can enhance skin hydration, plumpness, texture, and reduce wrinkles. Dr. Joshua Zeichner, a dermatologist in New York City, emphasized that beneficial effects stem from high DNA levels, rich in amino acids known for their hydrating and skin-renewing properties.
However, along with its potential benefits, salmon sperm facials have drawbacks. Aesthetician Nerida Joy indicated that these facials might irritate acne-prone skin. Additionally, there is limited data supporting their effectiveness, and the treatment has not yet received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
