Kim Kardashian Brings a Taste of Halloween Fun with Family-Decorated Treats
In a heartwarming Halloween gesture, Kim Kardashian, founder of Skims, 43, delighted her Instagram followers on Thursday, Oct. 17, with a clip showing a Halloween-themed gingerbread house gift from her sister Kourtney Kardashian and Kourtney's husband, Travis Barker. The charming treat highlighted her name, artistically dedicated with icing on white fondant, alongside the names of her kids, North, 11, Saint, 8, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 5, shared with her ex, Kanye West.
This edible Halloween decor featured a fondant "Happy Halloween" message on its door, surrounded by five fondant ghosts, smiley-faced pumpkin details, and a ground embellishment of jelly and candy pumpkins, contouring its landscape with trees and a tiny "RIP" marker. Seen during the filming as Kim admires the lovely creation, she acknowledges its source, saying, "From the Barkers."
Embracing the festive season spirit, Kim further shared her culinary adventures by posting snapshots of fall-themed cupcakes she had crafted with her children. Captioning her involvement, she noted, "baked w the kids last night." These bakes featured vanilla cupcakes elegantly topped with cream frosting donned with themed sprinkles and a playful embellishment of chocolates forming ear shapes atop certain cupcakes.
This family baking adds a familial touch after North, her oldest daughter, disclosed that Kim had not indulged her kids in home-cooked meals "in a long time." Reflecting in an Interview Magazine discussion dated Oct. 11, Kim queried North on her cooking style, to which North revealed the last homemade effort was two years ago at Halloween, recalling dishes like mac and cheese, fried chicken, and cornbread. North humorously acknowledged Kim as a "one-trick pony," but appreciated her specific knack for simple fares like cucumbers and salt — a snack she jests could last her a lifetime.
