Kim Kardashian Shares Kanye West's Warning Before Paris Robbery

Kim Kardashian recounted a significant warning from Kanye West during an episode of 'The Kardashians.' This warning ultimately helped her save an important piece of jewelry during her 2016 Paris ordeal.

Kim reminisced about how her then-husband advised her against wearing both of her engagement rings simultaneously. This arose after she showcased both rings online. "My first engagement ring from Kanye was a cushion cut. It was the only piece I didn’t take to Paris," Kim stated.
West initially proposed in 2013 with a 15-carat ring. Later, he gifted her a stunning 20-carat ring, which she first revealed in 2016. During the episode, Kim shared a memory of flaunting both rings at a Madison Square Garden event with jeweler Lorraine Schwartz. Kanye's reaction was memorable: "Don’t you ever wear both of your rings. Are you looking to get robbed?" Kim recounted.

When she traveled to Paris, she chose to leave her original ring, which she valued deeply, at home. Unfortunately, during the robbery, her newer 20-carat ring—estimated at $4 million—was one of several pieces seized by thieves while she faced the horror of being held at gunpoint. Overall, approximately $10 million worth of jewelry was taken.
Following the traumatic incident, Kim refrained from wearing extravagant jewelry for years. In a conversation with her sister Khloé during the episode, she expressed interest in wearing her diamonds again—a prospect Khloé wholeheartedly supported.
Kim also shared her sentimental plans regarding family heirlooms. She intends to give her engagement ring to her daughter, North, who is now 11 years old. "I’ll give the ring to Northy, as she was there for the proposal," Kim noted. North, the couple's eldest child, was merely four months old when Kanye proposed at San Francisco's AT&T Park. The rapper had orchestrated a dramatic moment with an orchestra and a grand message displayed on a jumbotron, asking Kim to marry him, surrounded by loved ones.
