Kim Sae-ron's Cause of Death Revealed

Authorities have confirmed that actress Kim Sae-ron, 24, died by suicide. She was found dead in her home just one day prior.
On February 17, Yonhap News Agency reported that South Korean police determined the cause of death appeared to be suicide. "We believe she made an extreme choice," they told reporters. They will handle the investigation as a suicide case.
Kim Sae-ron was discovered on February 16 at around 5 p.m. local time by a friend who intended to meet her. A police official stated, "We have not found any signs of foul play, but we are investigating the circumstances of her death."

Kim's acting career began at eight years old with the film "A Brand New Life." She gained further recognition from roles in "The Man From Nowhere," "A Girl at My Door," and "The Villagers." Her most recent project was "Bloodhounds," a Netflix series released in 2023.
In May 2022, she left acting after a DUI incident. Kim crashed her vehicle into a guardrail and a transformer, causing a power outage in southern Seoul. As a result, she was fined 20 million won (approximately $13,850).
In an Instagram apology, she admitted to causing the accident. "I was drunk and made a big mistake," she stated. She expressed disappointment in herself, recognized her negligence, and vowed to reflect deeply on her actions.
Despite infrequent social media activity, Kim returned to Instagram last month after a long hiatus. She shared a beautiful portrait of herself with a blue heart emoji.
