Kyle Richards Says Teddi Mellencamp Could Name All of Angelina Jolie’s Kids After Brain Surgery

Kyle Richards provided a humorous take on Teddi Mellencamp’s recovery following her brain tumor surgery, US Weekly reported. Richards wrote in a comment on Mellencamp's latest Instagram post, "The best moment! Right after your surgery when you weren’t quite sure what year it was and I said ‘but I bet she can name all of Angelina Jolie’s kids names’ and you did."
In her update from March 6, Mellencamp informed her fans about new findings in her ongoing cancer struggle. "I have multiple tumors in my brain that weren’t able to be removed via surgery. I also have 2 tumors in my lung. These are metastases of my melanoma," she shared. Despite the news, Mellencamp maintains a positive outlook, stating, "The doctors are hopeful that immunotherapy will effectively treat them." She humorously noted the wig she uses for now: "I like the short hair, just not the bald spots."
Mellencamp also posted a bold statement, echoing Bravo Andy's famous phrase: "Now, as @bravoandy would say: with all due... f— off, cancer!"
Mellencamp returned home on March 4, after 16 days in the hospital. She expressed her readiness for radiation treatment following her surgery. Fans have closely followed her cancer journey since she revealed her melanoma diagnosis in March 2022. Recently, she disclosed that multiple brain tumors were discovered.
"For the last several weeks I’ve been dealing with severe and debilitating headaches. Yesterday the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization," she recounted in an Instagram post on February 12. A CT scan and MRI confirmed multiple tumors on her brain, believed to have been growing for at least six months.

Mellencamp stated that two of the tumors would undergo surgical removal and she would start radiation to reduce the remaining ones. "I am blessed to be surrounded by my children, family, friends, doctors, nurses, and surgeons who are doing everything possible to get me back into better health," she remarked, thanking everyone who has reached out for support during her journey.
Alongside her health challenges, Mellencamp is navigating a difficult divorce from her husband, Edwin Arroyave. The couple, who share three children — Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, 5 — announced their decision to divorce in November 2024. A source informed *Us Weekly* that while the divorce process is ongoing, Mellencamp's health concerns take precedence. "The divorce is not anyone’s focus at the moment," a second source added. "Edwin wants to be there for Teddi and their family in any way they need."
