Kylie Kelce Skeptical About Daughters Dating NFL Players

Kylie Kelce has doubts about her daughters dating professional football players, despite her positive experience with husband Jason Kelce. On her podcast "Not Gonna Lie," Kylie, 32, expressed her skepticism when discussing whether she would permit their daughters to date athletes.
"I’d be very skeptical," she told Jason during the Friday episode when the topic arose. This hesitation likely arises from her own experiences and the stereotypes associated with athletes.
Kylie and Jason, 37, famously met via Tinder during his earlier years with the Philadelphia Eagles. Initially, Kylie did not know about his NFL career, which added a layer of complexity as they developed a relationship. When they first connected, Kylie hesitated to tell her family about Jason, aware of the common perceptions around athlete relationships.

Despite these challenges, the couple married in 2018 and welcomed three daughters — Wyatt, 5, Ellie, 3, and Bennett, 23 months. They are also expecting another daughter.
In discussing their daughters' dating prospects, Jason understands Kylie's concerns. "I know a lot of great football players, [but] I also know a lot of players I’d not want to date my daughters," he stated during the podcast. He hopes to set a good example for their daughters to develop their judgment about partners.
Jason recognized that skepticism won't necessarily protect their daughters if they fall for the wrong person. He stated, "If they fall in love with a douchebag, nothing about us being skeptical is gonna help."
Jason emphasized the importance of certain traits in potential partners for their daughters. "Red flag for me is anyone that uses the term ‘red flag,’" he joked. He also pointed out that anyone who mistreats service workers isn’t acceptable. "You can gauge people by how they treat others when there's no benefit for them," he noted, sharing his values for respectful relationships.

Since his retirement from the NFL, Jason has taken on the role of a dedicated girl dad enthusiastically. His mother, Donna Kelce, noted his affection for his daughters.
"He loves the cuddling and sweet moments," she shared with Us Weekly. Donna also gave her son crucial parenting advice: "Let children choose what they love. Don’t steer them in any direction. Support what they enjoy, and they’ll excel at it."
This thoughtful approach reflects their values as parents and their hopes for their daughters’ futures.
