Lady Gaga Unveils New Song for L.A. Wildfire Relief at FireAid Concert
Lady Gaga debuted a heartfelt new song, co-written with her fiancé, Michael Polansky, at the FireAid Concert on January 30. The concert aimed to support L.A. wildfire victims.
To introduce her performance, Gaga shared, "I thought I wanted to do something hopeful for you. I didn’t find a song that felt quite right." She continued, "So, me and my friend Michael — my fiancé, my love — we wrote this song for you. It’s just for tonight. It’s just for you. We all need many things right now, but perhaps we also need time. Time is a healer."
The new song features uplifting lyrics: "All I need is time/ All I need is time/ To heal my broken wings/ And then I’ll soar/ All I need is time/ To leave it all behind/ All I need is time/ To leave it all behind/ And keep moving forward."
Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, joined a talented lineup at the benefit concert. Other performers included Katy Perry, Billie Eilish, and Olivia Rodrigo. The event spanned two venues and streamed live on platforms like YouTube, Netflix, Disney Plus, and TikTok.
Notable attendees included Kamala Harris, Doug Emhoff, Jessica Alba, Rod Stewart, and his wife, Penny.
Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky began dating in 2019, and their engagement was announced in July 2024. Their connection began when Gaga’s mother, Cynthia Germanotta, encountered Polansky at a charity event over five years ago. Cynthia reportedly told her daughter, "I’ve met your future husband."
This performance marked one of several collaborations between Gaga and Polansky. He serves as an executive producer on her upcoming album, "Mayhem," set for release on March 7. Polansky shared his excitement, stating, "This album was so much fun to watch her make." He noted their close proximity to the studio allowed him to spend significant amounts of time with her during recording sessions. Fascinated by her speed, he remarked how songs would almost instantly take shape, with 80% of a song quickly coming together.
