Laura Harrier Addresses Dating Rumors Sparked by Shameik Moore’s Post
Laura Harrier is clarifying misconceptions regarding her relationship status amid dating rumors.
Recently, the Spider-Man: Homecoming star shared her feelings in a TikTok video that has since been deleted. This came after Shameik Moore, the voice of Miles Morales in Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, shared an old clip of them together on X with the caption "coming soon." Fans quickly began to speculate about a possible romance.
However, Laura is currently engaged to Sam Jarou, a creative consultant. In her December 20 video, Harrier expressed her frustration with the rumors. "I keep seeing all these videos that I’m being tagged in," she stated. "It’s really annoying me because I’m literally engaged, and that’s important to me."
In her message, she acknowledged the nature of Hollywood. "I get it. People do PR stunts, whatever. People like to get attention," she noted. She then shared her initial reaction upon seeing Moore's post. "When he first posted that video, a friend alerted me. I was like, ‘No.’ That was taken at a party over a year ago, where someone asked us to pose together."
After realizing the video's public presence, Harrier reached out to Moore, asking him to take it down. "I expressed that I didn’t appreciate the implication that something was happening between us, assuming that was your intention," she shared.
Harrier also commented on the ongoing visibility of the video. "It’s still up, which is f—ing weird," she remarked. "You’re a f—ing weirdo! I’m really annoyed by this. I wanted to say something because I dislike the way it's being portrayed."
In response, Moore deleted the post and later issued an apology video on X, clarifying the situation.
He stated, "This is all a misunderstanding, unfortunately, it’s public. It’s really fan-fiction or commentary, which I find f—ing weird. I mean no harm. My intention was purely artistic, regarding the aesthetic of the video and the song. I apologize for the misunderstanding."
