Produced by Jason Priestley, Perry's friend and costar from Beverly Hills, 90210, the film features reflections from those who loved him after his passing at age 52 in March 2019 from stroke complications.

The documentary highlights Perry's journey from Ohio to becoming a Hollywood star in the 1990s. DiCaprio fondly remembers their meeting on the set of Quentin Tarantino's acclaimed film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, released in 2019.

Impressions on Set

DiCaprio expressed, "I was immediately struck by his kindness." Alongside Tarantino and Margot Robbie, he reflected on his Hollywood upbringing. "Being born and raised in Los Angeles influenced my identity," he noted. Seeing Perry on set generated a thrilling sense of excitement.

Perry played actor Wayne Maunder in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, while DiCaprio took on the role of Rick Dalton, a fictional actor known for Westerns. DiCaprio reminisced about being young when Perry was considered television's new James Dean, declaring that everyone admired him.

DiCaprio confessed to feeling starstruck but found joy in conversing with Perry about their careers and life experiences.
