Lindsay Hubbard Defends Monetizing Pregnancy

Lindsay Hubbard recently addressed her choice to turn her pregnancy announcement into a paid partnership. During the episode of Jason Tartick’s "Trading Secrets" podcast on December 23, 2024, Hubbard discussed public reactions to her promotional collaboration with Clearblue pregnancy tests, US Weekly reported.

"People were very divided on this," Hubbard stated. She welcomed her daughter Gemma earlier this month with her boyfriend. "Some said, ‘I can’t believe she monetized her pregnancy announcement.’ But why not? I was going to announce it anyway, so why not earn from it?"

Hubbard emphasized that the announcement created an excellent opportunity. She revealed that she's used Clearblue products before. "I used the digital test in April to confirm my pregnancy," she explained. Thus, she decided to reach out to them for a sponsorship.

Since her rise on Bravo’s "Summer House," Hubbard has sought ways to increase her income. "This is how I’m generating money now. I’ve moved on from a PR career and traditional desk jobs," she clarified. This pregnancy announcement represented a significant moment for her, marking the highest earnings deal of her career thus far.

Hubbard disclosed her social media successes, stating that she earned over $100,000 from deals last year. She made her pregnancy announcement in July of that year.

Hubbard shared an enthusiastic announcement on social media, stating, "WE’RE PREGNANT!!!!!" While she prefers to keep her boyfriend private, she expressed excitement to share this news. "I believe the universe has a grand plan. The moment I suspected, I took a @clearblue Early Digital Pregnancy Test. The clear result made things easier. We're thrilled to welcome little #HubbCub this holiday season in 2024!"

In her discussion, Hubbard highlighted the supportive perspective of a social media comment that affirmed her decision to monetize. "Lindsay had to announce her pregnancy at some point, so why not capitalize on it?" firmly argued a user. Responding to this post, Hubbard stated, "My expenses just doubled, so… Let’s goooo!"
