Lindsay Hubbard: Partner Stays Supportive Since Daughter’s Birth
Lindsay Hubbard, known from "Summer House," reveals her boyfriend has been "by my side 24/7" since their daughter Gemma's arrival. Although they do not live together, discussions about cohabitation are ongoing.
In the "Summer House" season 9 trailer, Hubbard confided in Danielle Olivera about her living situation with her boyfriend. Olivera seemed surprised that they didn’t share a home while expecting their first child. "I just don’t want it to feel like you’re single momming this up," she said to Hubbard.
Following Gemma's birth on December 8, Hubbard explained their choice not to reside together yet. During a recent lunch, they delved into her reasoning for maintaining separate residences. Hubbard noted, "Once we talked more in depth about the whole living situation, she was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I completely understand your perspective now.’"
The Bravo star pointed out that although they still live apart, her boyfriend frequently stays over. "He has spent the night and has been by my side 24/7 for the entire past month," she stated. Their childcare approach mixes both their belongings in her apartment, creating a shared environment for Gemma.
Hubbard became pregnant early in their relationship. She reflected on the relationship's dynamics, admitting, "When you get pregnant so quickly into dating, I didn't want to put more pressure on our relationship." She stressed the importance of taking things "one step at a time," as the added stress of a new baby would already reshape their lives.
However, "cohabitation is being discussed." Hubbard noted, "My lease is up in June. We talk a lot about school districts and making those decisions... about where we might want to send Gemma to school."
As the holidays approach, Hubbard plans a low-key celebration in New York City. She remarked, "We’re not really doing anything because we can't. She's too fresh and too new to be exposed to too many people right now." They need to wait until Gemma receives her vaccines at two months before traveling.
Two weeks postpartum, Hubbard feels content and fulfilled. "My heart is so, so full," she expresses. She resonates with the common feeling among new parents of discovering profound love.
Recently, Hubbard anticipated watching her pregnancy journey in the upcoming "Summer House" season after experiencing backstage struggles in previous seasons. "This is the first time in a couple of years that I feel good about a trailer and I feel excited to watch," she stated.
Fans can catch "Summer House" season 9 premiere on Wednesday, February 12, at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
