Lisa Kudrow Finds Hidden Note From Late Matthew Perry in Friends Gift
Lisa Kudrow, known for her role in Friends, recently found a touching note from her late co-star, Matthew Perry. He gave her the note in a "Cookie Time" jar after their show's conclusion.
Kudrow expressed that even though Perry is gone, she feels his presence. In a recent episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, she stated, "Matthew gave that to me at the end of our last episode." The jar, a memorable prop taken from the set, led her to discover the note. "I hadn’t opened it or looked inside," she noted, adding that she had forgotten about it.
Though she did not reveal what the note contained, Lisa reflected, "Timing is everything." The cookie jar holds additional significance. Lisa recounted an earlier scene where she joked about being late. She gestured to an actual clock, saying, "Oh good, there’s a clock."
After the scene, Lisa recalled how Matthew approached her, laughing, as he asked if she had really pointed at the cookie jar saying, "Look at the time." This moment brought them both to tears with laughter.
In her touching tribute to Perry following his unexpected passing, Kudrow highlighted their special bond. She expressed gratitude for the joy he brought into her life. "Thank you for making me laugh so hard that my muscles ached," she shared in a November 2023 Instagram post. "Thank you for your open heart in a six-way relationship that required compromise and a lot of talking."
She emphasized that their decade working on Friends represents "the best ten years a person gets to have." In closing, she said, "Thank you for the time I got to have with you, Matthew."
