Madison De La Garza Mourns Loss of First Child
Madison De La Garza, known for her role in Desperate Housewives and sister of Demi Lovato, is grieving her first child's death. Madison underwent an emergency C-section last month to deliver her daughter, Xiomara, with boyfriend Ryan Mitchell. Sadly, the newborn did not survive.
On October 26, Madison shared her sorrow on Instagram. She reflected on the heartbreaking moment: "On the evening of September 27th, after an emergency C-section, Ryan and I held our little girl for the first time and last time. Thank you, Xiomara, for making us parents to the most perfect angel in heaven. Mommy and Daddy love you, sweet girl."
Demi Lovato showed her support by sharing her sister's post in her Instagram Stories. "RIP to my beautiful, perfect niece Xiomara," Demi wrote. "I’m so grateful I got to hold you. I'll forever be your auntie. I love you so much @maddelagarza."
In a show of solidarity, Jutes, Demi's fiancé, commented, "I love you so much. Rest easy, baby angel Xiomara." The sadness also touched their older sister, Dallas Lovato, who shared a poignant poem in honor of her niece:
"Baby girl Xiomara, I miss you every day / I’ll take good care of your mom, so you can fly away. / Watch over us and guide us and give us little signs / One day we’ll come and see you, it just might take some time. / Not a single day will pass without you in our hearts / I wish we got more time together before you had to depart."
Dallas concluded with a heartfelt message, indicating the enduring bond: "So have fun in your new world, the one we cannot see / Because every breath I take, I’ll be taking one for z."
Prior to this tragedy, Madison announced her pregnancy in early September, expressing joy and excitement for their upcoming child. In an Instagram post dated September 5, Madison shared heartfelt moments with Ryan, showcasing her baby bump. "Oh Ryan, how I love you," she wrote, alongside photos. Ryan replied back with "I love you," reaffirming their bond.
Madison also included photographs of joyful family gatherings, featuring her mother, Dianna De La Garza, and her sisters. Demi Lovato shared her anticipation in the comments section, expressing how much she already loved both Madison and the baby. Later, Demi expressed her enthusiasm to E! News during a screening for her docuseries *Child Star*, emphasizing the importance of family and friends over fame.
