Madonna Showcases Lapis-and-Diamond Grills on TikTok

Madonna recently delighted fans by participating in a trending TikTok challenge. On March 27, 2025, she posted a brief video showcasing her mouth jewelry adorned with lapis lazuli and diamonds, PEOPLE reported.

In the clip, the iconic singer, now 66, lip-synced to That Mexican OT's song "Hardest Ese Ever." She then pointed to her mouth, highlighting her sparkling grills. Fans reacted in awe, with one commenting, "Damn Madonna????? You didn’t have to stunt this hard??😩🔥💙". Another noted the elaborate nature of her jewelry, remarking, "That definitely costs more than my car." A third user humorously expressed surprise, writing, "I never thought I’d see Madonna do a trend with a Mexican OT song 😂😭 the future really is now."

This is not the first time Madonna has revealed her grills. In August 2022, she showcased them on *The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon*. During that appearance, she shared that she designed the pieces herself for her 64th birthday, calling them her "birthday grills." The lapis and diamond grills displayed in her TikTok post appear to be the same ones introduced on Fallon’s show.

Madonna noted that some people critique her grills, though it puzzles her. When Fallon asked why those opinions persist, she quipped, "Decades." She further stated, "I just like the way it looks — it's mouth jewelry — and I have really ugly teeth."

Just a decade prior, in August 2013, the "Hung Up" singer sported a gold grill in Rome, featuring 24 diamonds along the top row of her teeth. As indicated by Madonna, she has embraced mouth jewelry throughout her career, with notable appearances featuring a gold front tooth in the 1990s.
