Malika Haqq's Emotional Tribute to Son Ace on His 5th Birthday

Malika Haqq shared a touching message for her son Ace Flores as he turned five. The birthday celebration brought a wave of emotions for both mother and son.

On March 14, the actress posted an Instagram video of herself reading an emotional letter to Ace, whom she shares with her ex, O.T. Genasis. The video captured their tender moment as they reflected on Ace's journey from four to five years old.

"Since tomorrow is your birthday, I wrote a letter for you," she told Ace while they stood in the bathroom. Ace seemed excited, distractedly playing with a small toy.

"Can I read it to you?" she asked, and Ace replied eagerly, "Yup!"

As emotions took over, Malika said, "Bye 4-year-old Ace," wiping away tears. Ace stopped playing, turning to listen intently.

Celebrating Growth and Love

Malika expressed her daily commitment to raising Ace joyfully. "I honor God through my role as your mother. He’s pleased with us, Ace. I’m blessed because of you," she shared.

While detailing how much she has cherished him, Malika noted that being 4 was especially magical. "We’ve learned so much this year," she continued. "Protecting your innocence is my pride; providing for you is my strength."

As she read, Ace put down his toy, his smile growing wider as he absorbed her heartfelt words.

Despite a small interruption when Ace fell from a step stool, Malika quickly ensured he was fine and continued with her reading.

"As you've turned into a little boy, I no longer see your lovable chubby cheeks," she commented, affectionately cupping his face, sparking his laughter. "But I bask in your growth and independence."

Speaking of Ace’s acts of kindness, she added, "The way you hold doors for me and kiss my hand while I hold yours is the most special display of your heart for me." Her voice broke with emotion as she continued.

Watching her sincerity prompted Ace to sit more attentively as she read, "As I say goodbye to the 4-year-old, I welcome the 5-year-old Ace and all that you will become." She wiped her tears, adding, "There’s no place I’d rather be. You are so special to me."
