Mandy Moore Shares Relatable Parenting Moment: ‘I’m About to Go Crazy’
Mandy Moore recently opened up about the challenges of parenting restless toddlers. On Saturday, Nov. 23, the 40-year-old actress candidly described her frustrations on Instagram Stories. She explained how her sons, August "Gus," 3, and Oscar "Ozzie," 2, were keeping her up through the early morning hours.
"Guys. What do I do to get my toddlers to not wake up at 4:30 and then stay up?" Moore shared, posting a photo reflecting her tired, stressed demeanor. She emphasized, "I’m about to go crazy. This is not sustainable."
In addition to her young boys, Moore has a daughter, Louise "Lou" Everett, with husband Taylor Goldsmith. In another Instagram post, Moore showcased Gus in his pajamas. He was heartily playing with toys in a hallway while the lights were on.
"I came downstairs to him playing with his toys," she wrote of the scene. "Lights on. Cool cool cool."
Moore expressed gratitude to friends who offered parenting support. "Thanks to those of you who reminded me it's a phase," she noted. Surrounded by a whirlwind of family responsibilities, she also mentioned that her husband was away. "Oooof. Being super sick, with a newborn and a husband OOT, I’m ready for the next phase lol," she added.
Back on Sept. 25, Moore announced the arrival of Louise. She wrote on Instagram: "Lou is here! She is our absolute dream girl, and her big brothers are already as obsessed with her as we are. Endlessly grateful for our family of 5."
Recently, Moore discussed preparing for her first Christmas with three children during an interview with PEOPLE. "I am fully channeling my Rebecca Pearson these days," she acknowledged, referencing her role from This Is Us. She admired how her character juggled responsibilities.
Moore reflected on enjoying this time, calling her family moments "dreamy." She noted that witnessing the connections among her children was particularly heartwarming. "It's very, very sweet," she concluded.
