In an Instagram video shared on December 10, Carey revealed the heartfelt moment. The teens presented her with a stunning bouquet at her concert in Raleigh, North Carolina, on December 9. A man took to the stage and announced, "I don't mean to interrupt you, but I just want to let y'all know we’re going to give her flowers tonight because we just found out ‘All I Want for Christmas’ is number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Make some noise for the queen of Christmas."
After an emotional embrace, Carey expressed her gratitude, saying, "Thank you. Wow! That was the perfect moment to find that out. It’s from the Hot 100? Well, thank you to everybody who helped make that possible. Thank you so much."

Carey commemorates the 30th anniversary of her album Merry Christmas, featuring the iconic song, with a special deluxe edition. She is also actively touring for her Christmas Time concert series.
