The long-awaited return of Matthew Gray Gubler as Spencer Reid in "Criminal Minds: Evolution" is hitting the screens soon. Sources affirm that scheduling conflicts have resolved, allowing Gubler to appear in one episode of Season 18, which recently wrapped filming. Although fans of the franchise, who last saw Reid in 2020, will only get a brief glimpse of him, it's a happy reunion as he returns alongside his on-screen companion, Matt Simmons, played by Daniel Henney.
