Meghan Markle Shares Adorable High School Throwback Photo: ‘Biggest Smile’

The Duchess of Sussex recently shared an image from her time at Immaculate Heart, her high school in Los Angeles. This photo was sent by a friend, celebrating Meghan Markle's achievements.
On March 18, Immaculate Heart college preparatory school posted a surprise featuring the famous alumna. The school highlighted Meghan, now 43, smiling beside a photo of Mary. Their caption stated, "Congratulations to IH alumna Meghan Markle ('99) on the renewal of her Netflix series and launch of her new podcast!"

The all-girls Catholic school expressed excitement about featuring the former student. They celebrated their traditions and the upcoming Mary’s Day event, emphasizing a legacy of sisterhood and community spirit.
Shortly after, Meghan shared the image on her Instagram. She wrote, "When your dear friend from middle school/high school sends you something from your Alma mater and it brings the biggest smile to your face. Go Pandas," adding thanks to her friend.
In 2016, a former schoolmate described Meghan as charismatic and hardworking. She recognized Meghan’s bright future even then. Meghan also revisited Immaculate Heart for a 2022 episode of her podcast, Archetypes.

During the podcast episode, she reminisced about her locker position, located in the middle of the hallway. She spoke about the impact Immaculate Heart had on her life, noting her formative years spent there. She expressed joy in returning, experiencing vibrant energy, particularly during a surprise visit at volleyball practice.
The Duchess made another notable appearance by delivering a surprise commencement speech in 2020. In her address, she discussed the "absolutely devastating" killing of George Floyd and the resultant social unrest.
A spokesperson clarified that Meghan intended to cheer the graduating class. However, she felt compelled to address the urgent social issues affecting young women today, particularly regarding the historical struggles of Black Americans.

After marrying Prince Harry in 2018 and stepping back from royal duties, they moved to California in 2020. The couple now lives with their children, 5-year-old Prince Archie and 3-year-old Princess Lilibet.
Meghan recently spoke to PEOPLE about the importance of her Montecito community. She detailed a camp they hosted, where they connected with other families. They organized activities like obstacle courses and face painting for children. Meghan said, "It’s a dream… but being part of a community means you put effort into it."
