Melania Trump Pursues Her Own Interests One Month into Husband’s Second Term

Recently, Melania Trump has made her presence known amid her husband President Donald Trump's second term. According to sources, "Melania has been busy shooting her documentary," which has included various filming locations.
After a month away from public events, Melania attended the Governors Ball over the weekend. Her last appearance alongside Donald was in disaster-effected regions of North Carolina and California on January 24.
A political source mentioned, "Her absence during the initial weeks in the spotlight shouldn’t be surprising; this is her approach." The source clarified that Melania "will never be a traditional first lady," emphasizing her desire to shape her own path.
Melania is focused on her individual projects, including her upcoming documentary for Amazon Prime Video, directed by Brett Ratner, with Melania executive producing alongside Fernando Sulichin. "She has been busy shooting her documentary in various locations, including the White House," a Miami political source added.
Although there’s no confirmed release date, Variety noted that the documentary is expected in the latter half of 2025. A social source shared that Melania has spent time at both Mar-a-Lago and the White House, though her official interactions at the White House have been limited.

According to the social source, "[Donald and Melania] both reside at Mar-a-Lago and maintain quarters in the White House. Still, she leads her own life and joins him appropriately." While in Palm Beach, Melania tends to "keep to herself" but occasionally accompanies Donald for dinner.
One major initiative Melania aims to revive during her husband’s second presidency is the "Be Best" campaign. Launched in May 2018, this initiative was designed to help children combat online bullying and opioid addiction.

In a January discussion with Fox & Friends, Melania expressed her desire to "expand" "Be Best," particularly after streaming platforms offered little support during the previous administration. She emphasized the potential impact: "Imagine what we could do in those years if they rally behind me to teach children about social media and mental health. It will be an exciting four years. We have a lot to accomplish."
