Melissa Gorga Responds to Teresa Giudice’s ‘You’re Welcome’ Comment on Cookie Brand
Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice are not likely to share a sprinkle cookie soon. On the December 18 episode of "Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen", Melissa, 45, spoke about Teresa, 52, seemingly taking credit for her cookie brand. Teresa shared a cryptic post saying, "You’re welcome," after Melissa announced her new venture.
In response to a virtual fan question, Melissa remarked, "She’s welcome for giving her someone to hate on for the last decade." This bold statement led host Andy Cohen to affirm, "You’ve both done so much for each other." "We really have," Melissa replied.
Melissa revealed details about her new brand, Sprinkle by MG, during an exclusive interview with Us Weekly. "Everyone knows sprinkle cookies are my absolute favorite," she said. She recalled an iconic scene from *The Real Housewives of New Jersey* that fueled her desire to create her own cookies, noting it had been a long time coming.
Loyal fans of RHONJ remember how Gorga's love for the cookies came up. During season 3, Teresa recalled throwing away a box of sprinkle cookies Gorga, then pregnant, had brought to her home. This incident sparked issues contributing to their rivalry. "Everywhere I go, people give me sprinkle cookies. At book signings or at Envy, people show up with cookies," she said.
Since her arrival on RHONJ, Melissa and Teresa’s tumultuous relationship has marked the show for over a decade. Their refusal to speak during season 14 fueled speculation of changes in the cast. When discussing her future on the show, Melissa stated, "I am prepared for anything."
"I think I would realize that her and I are two extremely different characters on the show," Melissa mentioned on the *Two Ts in a Pod* podcast. She expressed that if Bravo chose a darker direction for the show, she would prefer to exit. "I do not want to be on that toxic s–t. If she is involved, I wouldn’t consider it a loss," she explained.
Reflecting on her 14-year run, Melissa noted, "You can’t do it forever." She expressed her hope for new directions. "Of course, I hope there are some changes, and I’m uncertain about being a part of them," she said.
As for the future of RHONJ, producer Andy Cohen mentioned there won’t be updates for a while. "You’re not gonna get it for, like, a year, so everyone stop asking," he insisted. "And I keep saying you are going to get nothing, so stop asking!"
