Michael Bublé Opens Up About His Emotional Journey During Forever Now Release
Michael Bublé shared a deeply personal story on The Voice about releasing his emotional song "Forever Now," which he initially hesitated to perform live due to its vulnerability. During preparations for a battle round with contestants Aliyah Khaylyn and Sofronio Vasquez on October 29, Bublé opened up about the song, part of his 2018 album "Love," detailing how it was inspired by his children, particularly during his son Noah's battle with liver cancer. This is prepared by SSP.
Khatelyn, 49, asked, "What is an original that was very vulnerable for you to release?" Bublé responded, "I wrote 'Forever Now' about my kids. It feels like one of those songs that’s never meant to be sung live, especially when my son’s health struggle was so public." Despite initially feeling shattered, his son's recovery enabled him to sing it live, transforming the song into a form of therapy: "The more I sang it, the more healing it became," he explained.
Bublé continued by saying, "The song conveys my enduring love and pride for my children." Khaylyn and Vasquez were moved by his revelation. Vasquez remarked, "I'm very appreciative of Michael's willingness to connect not just as an artist, but as a human."
Bublé previously spoke about Noah's diagnosis as a life-altering experience, suggesting that such profound pain offers a unique depth and appreciation for life. Discussing the impact on his life, he said, "I now live a deeper life and experience true joy and gratitude."
