Millie Bobby Brown Shares When She Knew Jake Bongiovi Was the One
During her appearance on Call Her Daddy, Millie Bobby Brown discussed her relationship with Jake Bongiovi, the son of rock star Jon Bon Jovi. She married Jake in May 2024 and shared when she realized he was "the one." This momentous revelation occurred early in their cohabitation.
"We had dogs together, and we cared for them like a family," Millie shared with host Alex Cooper on the March 12 episode. "I thought, ‘I really can't see you as anything else. I want you and I don’t want to date anyone else.’"

Millie credited their day-to-day interactions as crucial to her realization. Their connection extended beyond routine to substantial conversations about politics and family. "We discussed how we'd raise our kids, discussing bigger topics," she explained. "I had never considered those with anyone before. It hit me: 'Wow, maybe I want to be with you forever.'"
While the couple explored the idea of marriage during this time, Millie noted uncertainty about Jake's feelings. It was not until Jake proposed, at age 20 to her 19, that clarity emerged. Millie remarked on how this aligned with both of their family histories, where early marriage was common. "His parents married young, just as mine did," she recalled. "We modeled our love stories after those examples."
Family Integration
Another significant moment occurred during a family road trip, which Millie referred to as Jake's "initiation" into her family dynamics. "If you can’t sit in a car and sing with my family, that’s a huge issue," Millie stated. "He slotted in perfectly; we feared he’d be overwhelmed, but he thrived. He even brought us snacks during stops."
Jake had already impressed Millie during their initial meeting at an airport. "I was so nervous; we were all getting into a car together," she recalled. "He coolly greeted my dad: 'Hey, Mr. Brown,' swinging his hair back. He handled it so well."
"He killed it," she repeated, emphasizing her admiration. "I thought, 'If he got through that, he can overcome anything.'"
