Millie Bobby Brown Talks Last Day of Stranger Things Shooting: 'I Was So Emotional'

In December, Millie Bobby Brown wrapped up filming the Netflix series Stranger Things, which brought her international fame. During a March 11 interview on the Today show, the 21-year-old actress revealed her final day on set was more emotional than she had anticipated. Initially trying to reassure herself she would be fine, the reality of her "last" moments on set struck unexpectedly, leading her to admit, "I was not fine. I cried a lot." This is prepared by SSP.

Having played Eleven since 2016, Brown expressed feeling overwhelmed as she walked on set, hyperaware of her final encounters—such as her last coffee and last mark. This sentiment, likened to a graduation, was shared in a heartfelt Instagram post on December 20, where she conveyed her reluctance to part with her cast and crew whom she sees as family. "I love each and every one of you and I will forever carry the memories and bonds we created together," she stated.
Despite her sadness, Brown assured fans that the upcoming fifth and final season, anticipated for a 2025 release, will be worth the wait. "Be patient," she encouraged, while discussing her upcoming project during the L.A. premiere of The Electric State in February.
Brown’s emotions were echoed by her co-star Gaten Matarazzo, known for playing Dustin Henderson, who described the realization of the series ending as "jarring" due to how swiftly the past years have flown by. Reflecting on nearly a decade with the show, Matarazzo expressed gratitude and acknowledged the challenge of moving on both personally and professionally.
Fans can currently stream the first four seasons of Stranger Things on Netflix in anticipation of the final season.
