Naomi Biden Welcomes First Child with Peter Neal
Naomi Biden, the eldest granddaughter of President Joe Biden, has given birth to her first child. She and her husband, Peter Neal, welcomed their son on January 8.
The President proudly announced this milestone at a press conference regarding wildfires in Southern California. He told reporters, "I am a great-grandfather as of today." Initially, he mistakenly referred to the baby as a girl, then corrected himself to confirm the baby is a boy.
First Lady Jill Biden shared the joyful news on Instagram, posting a heartwarming photo of herself and the President with the newborn. She introduced their great-grandson, writing, "We are proud to introduce you to our great-grandson: William Brannon Neal, IV."
The baby’s name pays tribute to Peter Neal’s brother, Willie Neal, who tragically lost his life in a car accident at age 19. Naomi's pregnancy was revealed in November 2024, coinciding with her vote in the presidential election where Republican candidates Donald Trump and JD Vance emerged victorious.
Naomi displayed her baby bump in an Instagram story, gracefully wearing an all-black jumpsuit and poncho. She cleverly captioned the snapshot: "(We) voted," highlighting her preparations for motherhood.
This new arrival follows Naomi and Peter's wedding in a private White House ceremony in November 2022. The 46th President has always emphasized the importance of family, often stating that decisions are made collectively. Naomi expressed her gratitude, noting how her grandfather has prioritized family traditions throughout the years.
