Nina Dobrev Proud of Fiancé Shaun White After Whitespace's Fashion Debut

The Olympic snowboarder Shaun White debuted his high-fashion brand, Whitespace, in collaboration with Moncler during the fall/winter 2024 show in Switzerland. Nina Dobrev, his fiancé, expressed immense pride in his accomplishment.
During an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Dobrev, 36, shared her excitement regarding White's entry into high fashion. She highlighted that the brand showcased its collection for the first time in a notable show. "It was really exciting. I'm really proud of him," Dobrev mentioned. This remark accompanied her partnership with SC Johnson for their Join Zuzu campaign, which raises awareness about plastic waste.
She elaborated, "To have such a gorgeous collection with Moncler and see it on the runway was very surreal." The brand partnered with top models, showcasing snowboards designed by Whitespace, further affirming its integration into the fashion industry.
Shaun White, 38, founded Whitespace in 2022. His collaboration with Moncler represents one of its first major entries into high fashion, emphasizing innovative outerwear. White commented on this partnership before the Fashion Week event, stating, "Moncler is a unique brand, and they always do something special."
He added, "The clothes were amazing, and it’s great to see someone blend technical design with fashion." This partnership emerged after White discussed ideas with Moncler during the pandemic, aiming to create performance-driven outerwear that resonates with the brand's ideals.

White believes this collaboration will bridge his performance expertise with Moncler's fashion authority. "Whitespace aligns with Moncler’s fashion-meets-function ideals," he stated. Their continued collaboration showcases their commitment to merging technical details with design aesthetics.
In her conversation with PEOPLE, Dobrev also focused on environmental advocacy. She discussed her involvement in SC Johnson’s ocean cleanup initiative inspired by her visit to Indonesia for her 34th birthday. During her trip, she experienced an eye-opening change at a beloved beach.
"When I returned, I was truly stunned by how drastically the beach had changed," she recalled. This experience heightened her awareness of environmental issues, motivating her to participate in the advocacy campaign.
"Once I learned of SC Johnson's initiative, I wanted to get involved right away," Dobrev expressed. She emphasized using a video featuring Zuzu the hermit crab to increase awareness. She believes visual representation in media can drive accountability and inspire action against pollution.

Dobrev and White’s relationship began in 2019, and they publicly confirmed their romance in April 2020 with a humorous Instagram post. The engagement came later, revealed in an interview with Vogue. In sharing the news, White declared, "She said YES," alongside celebratory images. Dobrev's playful post read, "RIP boyfriend, hello fiancé," highlighting her excitement for their new chapter.
Together, Dobrev and White exemplify a powerful partnership, intertwining passions for fashion, environmental concern, and personal milestones.
