Olivia Culpo Addresses Severe Bleeding from Blood Clot in Uterus During Early Pregnancy

Olivia Culpo recently revealed the challenges she faced during her early pregnancy journey. She announced her pregnancy with NFL star Christian McCaffrey last week, and now she's sharing her experience with a blood clot.
Just one week after revealing her pregnancy, Culpo took to TikTok to explain her struggles with a subchorionic hematoma. This condition, which entails a blood clot in the uterus, caused significant bleeding for her. "I was bleeding everywhere," she stated in a video posted March 18.
Culpo visited her doctor and expressed her relief upon seeing her baby's heartbeat. The doctors advised her to avoid any travel due to her condition. To manage the subchorionic hematoma, she received progesterone treatment and was instructed to rest.
"I have been on bed rest for — this is week two," Culpo stated. She previously dealt with pneumonia for two weeks, adding to her challenges. Overall, she shared, "I’ve been on bed rest for about four weeks."

Feeling blessed that things are progressing well, Culpo also sent a message of support to others in similar situations. "If you're experiencing a subchorionic hematoma, I hope this video can help you," she advised. "Intense bleeding in your first trimester isn’t always as dire as it seems. Consult your doctor regarding progesterone suppositories; I believe that’s why I’m still carrying this baby."
In conclusion, she reached out to those facing struggles in their pregnancies, offering reassurance and support. "I’m praying for everyone in their maternity journey. I love you guys."
